Came out today to inspect a Goodman heat pump blowing cold air. Goodman model #GSZ160361BD, serial #2009375405. Upon arrival the first thing I noticed was that the system was running. I checked the thermostat and the system was set for 67°. After about 5 minutes the system shut down due to it reaching the desired temperature. I inspected the entire system including all wiring, refrigerant and controls. There is no led light for the defrost board. I replaced the t4 thermostat and disconnected the wet switch in the secondary pan to rule these components out as the underlining issue. No issues could be found with the system. No charge per PA

Came out today for a humidifier issue on a humidifier that was just installed. Upon arrival the homeowner stated that the Lennox icomfort thermostat shows that the home has less than 15% humidity. I took a look at the humidifier and it was indeed running. The homeowner also stated that the humidifier has not turned off. After doing some diagnostics I found that the thermostat is not sensing the humidity properly. I presented the homeowner with several options however the homeowner stated that they are leaving for the summer and would like to handle it when they get back. All estimates are saved in service titan. No charge for today the humidifier was installed on 2/3/23.

Complete warranty repair on newly installed heat pump system. Refrigerant will need to be recovered, new expansion valves (TXV's) installed on indoor and outdoor equipment and new bi-flow filter drier installed on outdoor unit. Pressure test, vacumm, and recharge with correct amount of refrigerant. Goodman Equipment. Heat pump: m#GSZ160361BD s#2009375405 Air handler m#ASPT37C14AC s#2012058257 Repaired Goodman heat pump under warranty. I powered down the system and removed the 410-A refrigerant. Once the system was empty I removed both txvs and the filter drier. I installed the new components and pressure tested with nitrogen. I pressurize the system to 250 psi I let the system sit for an hour and a half and the system held the charge. I removed the nitrogen and began pumping down the system. After about 3 hrs I was able to get the system to 546 microns. I charged the system with 11lbs of 410-a. I let the system run for about 30-45 minutes to observe the system operating normally.

Observed minor water leak from humidifier cover on arrival. Adjusted saddle valve to decrease water pressure. The plastic stopper on top of humidifier tray is broken. Made sure drains are clear. Ran humidifier for about 15 minutes of observation to verify it is not leaking. The humidifier was installed with the system in May of 2015. The existing “healthy climate” humidifier is equivalent to an Aprilaire 600M. I advised the homeowner that replacing the existing one due to age and condition would be the best option at this time. Homeowner wants to monitor the humidifier. If the humidifier leaks again, we will return with a new Aprilaire humidifier and not attempt any more repairs on the existing one. (#35 panel). No action needed at this time as homeowner thinks this will be good for now. N/C, WARRANTY.

This location has no roof access, will need 28’ extension ladder to go up back of building. There are two roof top units. Both are extremely warm and model and serial numbers are no longer visible. I was able to get filter sizes and belt size. Both units are the same. Each system take a A36 belt for the blower. Each system takes (2) 15x20x2” and a single 14x25x2” filter. Both systems are extremely worn. BILLOUT

Arrived on site to assess leaking humidifier. Upon inspection, I found that the humidifier was leaking from housing. When I took housing door off, I found nothing obvious to cause the leak. I cleaned the filter bracket and checked filter for excess sediment build up. Returned the filter back into the housing watched operation of humidifier. After further inspection I drew the conclusion that the humidifier filter drain was not properly placed inside housing of humidifier. Again, watched humidifier run to check for more leaks. None were found at this time. Unit it operating at this time Humidifier model# HCWB3-17A Serial# S2214G03421

Performed preventative maintenance for high efficiency furnace. Customer had the Merv 11 (16x25x5). I replaced i today. Won’t be due till Nov 2023. Cleaned out burners, burner box and flame sensor. Inspected all tubing from collector box and pressure switches for any blockage. No blockage in any of the tubes at this time. Customer had issues with water flow to humidifier last service and now is running just fine. I had to work the piercing valve back and forth to remove buildup so it would have proper water flow.
