Came out today for a Weil McLain boiler model #cg-6-spdn, cp #3107747. Upon arrival the homeowner stated that the system would come on but not heat the home. I removed the access panel and noticed that the system has a standing pilot and it was not lit. I tried to light the pilot but had no success. I removed the pilot assembly and noticed that the thermocouple was severely charged. I recommend replacing the thermocouple to start and the homeowner agreed. I replaced the thermocouple and lit the pilot. Once I powered the system back up the system ignited. The systems burners and burner box are covered in dust . I highly recommended performing preventative maintenance for the boiler. The homeowner stated that he would schedule another time for maintenance. The system is operating at this time.

Original service call was to address an issue with Google Nest thermostat. Bypassed thermostat and rollout switch to perform combustion analysis. Found CO PPM levels around 3000 plus and immediately shut down the analyzer. Gas valve was also clicking on and off repeatedly and flames were rolling out. Shut off gas and power to the unit and advised the homeowner that the system will need to be replaced due to the multiple failures which include breached heat exchanger, failing gas valve. A company representative will be coming out to the property today between 12:30-1:30 to provide replacement options and discuss different financing options that we offer. The diagnostic charge can be refunded with a signed proposal for a new system. Chud will also determine if vent pipes are correct. There still may be an issue with the Google Nest thermostat as the homeowner put new batteries in it and it still was showing a fault of “no power” even with a common wire hooked up. Carrier high efficie

Completed maintenance on attic system gas furnace. Checked all components for proper operation. System is in horizontal position with flue running out through roof, causing condensation to drip through flue pipe and into draft inducer. Cleaned orifice leading to pressure switch hose. Would recommend customer consider replacing this system due to its fair condition. System could be upgraded to a high efficiency system helping them save in their heating costs. Replaced filter, filter size 20x20x1. Cycled and tested, system working properly at this time.

Performed preventative maintenance for a Lennox furnace model #Sl280uh110v60-03, serial #5911j34646. I powered the system down and removed the access panels. Removed and cleaned carbon off of the flame sensor, cleaned out the burners and burner box. I replaced the pure air kit in the system. Checked all electrical connections to ensure that they are secure and in good condition. Performed humidifier service on a Aprilaire humidifier series 600. Ensured that the pressure switch was free of any debris. Tested the drain line and condensate pump with several bottles of water to ensure that there are no leaks or clogs. I powered the system up and called for heat. Took a combustion analysis test and received the following readings, o2 is at 12.4% and the co levels are 13ppm. The inducer amp draw is at .23 and the blower motor amp draw is at 7.4. I tested the humidifier for proper operation and leaks. The system is operating properly at this time.

Performed preventative maintenance for a Lennox system model #G61MP – 60C – 091–09, serial #5910E09876. Removed and cleaned carbon off of the flame sensor. Cleaned out the burners and burner box. Check all electrical components to ensure that they are secure and in good condition. Replaced the air filter size 16x20x1. Tested the drain line and condensate pump with several bottles of water to ensure that there are no leaks or clogs in the system. Made sure pressures switch are clear. Powered the system back on and called for heat. I observed the system starting normally and took a combustion analysis test. The inducer motor amp draw is at .23, the blower motor amp draw is at 5.2. The combustion analysis results are 11% for the o2, co is 11ppm. The system is operating properly at this time. I took a look at the nest thermostat and it is only off by 2°. In my professional opinion changing the thermostat will not fix this issue. The system is operating properly at this time.

Customer called for system cooling but wouldn’t shut down at the customers set temperature. I found that the customer has a nest thermostat that they don’t fully know how to operate. It was set for home learning mode where it makes a schedule based oh the temperature you adjust to. Customer just wanted a standard setup with no schedule. I removed the schedule and the system was no operating as desired. Found no issue with the thermostat or that it was cooling beyond the setting. I then proceeded to perform the maintenance. Inspected all the electrical components. Confirmed proper high and low voltages. Tested the temperature split between the supply and return. System was operating at a 19° differential. Tested the amp draw for the blower, compressor and fan motor. All were operating within the manufacturer specs. Customer replaced the 16x20x1 air filter. System is operating properly at this time.

Paul T.
Came out today for a no ac call. Upon inspection I found that the condenser was not operating during a call for ac. I found the low voltage wire disconnected from the condenser. I reconnected the low voltage wire and the system started right up. The compressor is making a loud grinding noise. I connected my gauges and noticed that the system was practically empty of refrigerant. Low side pressure of 16 psi. Goodman system. At this point due to the age of the system it should be updated to a system that utilizes 410-A refrigerant. The system is not operational at this time. I will reach out to Chud's comfort advisor with all the details. See photos.

Paul T.
Came out today for to look at a hot water heater that is not operating properly. Upon inspection I found that the system was not heating the water due to a tripped safety switch in the blower motor. The hot water heater would need to be replaced. This is a natural gas, direct vent, 75 gallon hot water heater.

Performed air duct cleaning and sanitation on a 3 bedroom single system house. All vents and ductwork are clear of dust and debris at this time. System is functioning properly at this time. Recommend duct cleaning every 3-4 years. Performed first floor dryer vent cleaning. Dryer vent, duct, flex hose and lint trap are all clear of lint and debris at this time. Dryer is functioning properly at this time and exhaust flow is optimal. Recommend dryer vent cleaning every 1-2 years. Thank you for your business!

Paul T.
Came out today for a leaking hot water heater. Upon inspection I found that the expansion tank failed and the relief valve opened to release the pressure. The relief valve will no close properly and is causing a leak. My recommendation is to replace the hot water heater and expansion tank. 50 gallon, natural gas, chimney vent. See estimate for details and photos.

Keith R.
Performed air duct cleaning and sanitation on a 4 bedroom single system house post construction. All vents and ductwork are clear of dust and debris at this time. System of at this time. Recommend duct cleaning every 3+4 years. Thank you for your business!

Lennox condenser condenser was struck by a falling tree. The condenser fan took most of the force. The condenser fan motor is pulling a high amp draw and will most likely burn out soon. To prevent this Chud recommends replacing the condenser fan motor, fan blade (4 blades) and capacitor (45+10). 4-1-22-PT- Removed the old existing fan from the condenser as well as the capacitor. Installed a new fan motor, fan blade and 45/10 capacitor. Cleaned out all the pine needles and debris from the base of the condenser. All the debris were from the tree that fell. I called for AC to test the system. The refrigerant pressures are still within normal range for the temperature outside. The amp draws for the condenser are .8 for the fan and 9.03 for the compressor. These are normal amp draws for this system. The temperature split is still at 20+. The system is operating properly at this time.

Paul T.
Performed preventative maintenance for a Lennox AC system. The evaporator coil's are clean, the drain pan and drain line are clear of debris. I observed the system starting normally. The temp split it at 20+. The condenser coils are clean. The amp draws for the condenser are 8.25 for the compressor and 1.4 for the fan. The fan has a high amp draw. See estimate for details. Checked all electrical components needed for air conditioning. The clean air kit was installed last season.

Keith R.
Performed 2nd floor dryer vent cleaning. Dry vent had a big clog near the opening. At this time dryer vent, duct, flex hose and lint trap are all clear of lint and debris at this time. Dryer is functioning properly at this time and vent has optimal air flow. Recommend dryer vent cleaning every 1-2 years to avoid further clogs and dryer fires. Thank you for your business!

Came out today to replace a condenser coil. Cut out and removed the old condenser coil. Brazed in the the coil . Pressure tested for leaks and attempted to pull a vacuum. The system would not pull a vacuum into microns. Cleaned out the refrigerant lines and there was oil and moisture in the lines. Once I cleaned out the lines the system was able to pull a vacuum into 750 microns. I charged the system with 9lbs of 410 a refrigerant. The pressures are within normal range for the temperature outside. Tested the system for both heating and air conditioning. The system is operating properly at this time.

Paul T.
Came out today for a Lennox condenser not operating with an error code of 411. Upon inspection I found that the system had no refrigerant pressure at all. I charged the system with nitrogen and immediately heard a hissing sound from the condenser. I found a leak in the connection for the cap tube going into the coil. The condenser will have to be replaced and Chud will have to check the warranty.
