Came out today to install a homeowner supplied eco bee thermostat on a Lennox furnace model #SL280Uh110V60C-04, serial #5916H14220. I powered the system down and removed the Lennox I comfort thermostat. I went to the furnace and removed the thermostat wires from the I comfort terminals and wired them directly to R,G,C,W and Y. Once the system was wired properly and the thermostat was installed I tested the system for proper operation. The system is operating properly at this time. The homeowner is using $40 in Chud bucks. Price reflected below. This package includes a 1 year preventative maintenance for the HEAT, AC and HUMIDIFIER. It will also include the water panels for the humidifier. This is for a future service. The service will begin in the spring with ac service.

Customers out door unit was not working. Notice the breaker was tripped. After turning it on I checked the amperage on the compressor and the fan motor which where both in range of the name plate. This led me to believe it was a bad breaker. Replaced with a 40 amp double pole breaker. System is operating properly at this time. M#XP16-048-230-07 s#5814C08956 did not charge for diagnostic fee.

Came out today to perform preventative maintenance for a heater. The homeowner is new to the home. This home has a Lennox oil burner that sits on top of a blower motor with ac coils on top. This is a dual fuel system. This is a Lennox heat pump tied in with a Lennox oil burner. Chud currently does not perform work on oils fueled systems at this time. The homeowner should have a certified oil technician out to perform preventative maintenance. I was able to replace the Merv16 air filter supplied by the homeowner and I performed humidifier service for a healthy climate humidifier. I removed the old humidifier pad and cleaned out the housing and drain. I installed a new #35 humidifier panels and tested the system for leaks and proper operation.

Did a maintenance on a heat pump. Did a amp check on the blower motor and the heat pack. Both are operating properly. Also did a amp check on the fan motor and the compressor with both met the spec sheet on the heat pump. Also changed out the 20x20x4 filter. Also did a water test on the drain. Humidifier is leaking customer did not call us to service it if we change the panel it is possible it will stop the leak. Did a maintenance on a heat pump. When I got their I noticed it was running on emergency heat. After inspecting the unit the breaker was shut off, NOT tripped. After that took temperature and pressure of the outdoor unit which were in range of the spec sheet. Also, did a amp check on the fan motor and compressor which both are in range of the heat pump specs. Customer changed the 20x25x1 filter. Cleaned the drain out and did a amp check on blower motor and heat pack. System is operating properly at this point. M#CBX32MV-048-230-6-06 s#1614D03224 heat pump m#XP16-048-230-07 s#5814C08956

Performed preventative maintenance for a high efficiency Lennox furnace model #el296uh110xe60c-03, serial #5919k10335. I powered the system down and removed the access panels. I removed and cleaned carbon off of the flame sensor and cleaned out the burners and burner box. Replaced the air filter size 16x25x1. I tested the drain line and condensate pump with several bottles of water to ensure that there are no leaks or clogs. Cleaned out the trap and checked the pressure switch for clogs. Checked all electrical connections to ensure that they are secure and in good condition. I powered the system back up and called for heat. Took a combustion analysis test and received the following readings, o2 is 14.3% and the co levels are 5ppm. The inducer motor amp draw is .33 and the blower motor amp draw is 5.2. The supply temp is 126°F. The system is operating properly at this time.

Came out today for a Weil-McLain boiler not operating properly. Upon inspection I found that the spill switch was tripped. I reset the switch and the system started right up. I tested the system by calling for heat and it started without any issues. I tested the systems operation by calling for heat multiple times and each time it started without issues. I took a combustion analysis test as a precaution and I received the following readings, 02 is 13.4% and the co levels are 4ppm. The most common reason for this switch to trip is a down draft coming down the chimney. Recommend installing a cap on the chimney. The homeowner stated that he had this issue in the past. The system is operating properly at this time.

Completed pm on heat portion of customers heat pump. Filter size is 18x24x1. Customer stated they were hearing buzzing sound coming from outdoor unit, placed rubber pads under unit to adjust the pitch and reduce the sound. Sound has stopped, cycled and tested, system is working properly at this time.

Came out today for a no heat call. Upon arrival the homeowner stated that the call for heat would end but the blower would continue to run. I powered the system up and called for heat . I observed the system firing up , I let it run for about 5-10 minutes then ended the call for heat. I observed the blower continue to run for about 5 minutes and then shut down. This is normal operation. The system needs to cool the manifold before it can shut down completely. I installed a new Emerson thermostat supplied by the homeowner and charged the quoted price by PA. After the new thermostat was installed I cycled the system multiple times to see if I could re create the issue the homeowner was having. The system is operating properly at this time.

Came out today to diagnose a Lennox condenser that makes a loud noise when shutting down. Upon inspection I found that the noise is actually coming from the condenser fan motor shutting down. I took an amp draw reading, .93 for the fan and 14.2 for the compressor. Recommend replacing the condenser fan motor and capacitor (75+10). The homeowner has the original signed agreement that states 10 yr labor and parts warranty (see photo). Collecting for the diagnostics today. Chud office will have to call the homeowner with a repair date.
