Site visit with Michael Kaiser from Ferguson to address noise issue with new furnace. Tested system to duplicate the noise. Checked for proper airflow. Determined that the blower motor and wheel should be changed. Completed that warranty repair today. The parts were already on site from the last visit. The old motor and wheel will be returned to Goodman for a warranty credit. Configured all system settings through the “cool cloud” app. The system is now operating properly with no noise issues. N/C, WARRANTY. GOODMAN M#GCVC960603BN, S#2207373150. MERV 11-16x20x4 filter, #10 water panel. (2 filters and 2 water panels on site.)

Performed preventative maintenance for a Lennox ac system model #XC14S036-230A09, serial #5815F08825. Upon arrival the system was set for heat. I powered the system down and removed the access panel. The evaporator coil’s are clean and in good condition. Tested the drain pan, drain line and condensate pump with several bottles of water to ensure that there are no leaks or clogs. I checked all electrical connections to ensure that they are secure and in good condition. The blower motor and blower wheel are clean and in good condition. I re attached the panel and powered the system back up and called for AC. I observed the system starting normally. The condenser coils are in fair condition. The condenser amp draws are .86 for the fan and 6.42 for the compressor. The temperature split is at a 20° difference. The system is operating properly at this time. Return visit to address noise issue. Verified that noise was not being caused by silicone/tape, blower motor, filter or humidifier. Pulled return grilles off of the wall and the noise was still present. Contacted Ferguson representative. A site visit is going to be set up with the Goodman FSR. The blower motor and wheel is on the location per Goodman until the site visit is completed. We will not be able to bring this call to a conclusion until the site visit is completed. Replace motherboard on existing system. Serial #2109214616, model #GMES800804BN, Goodman furnace. System was installed by Chud on 11/1/21 System is under warranty. 3/16/23-PT- came out today to install a new motherboard on a Goodman furnace. Upon arrival the homeowner stated that the system has been operating properly since our last visit. I powered the system down and removed the motherboard. I installed the new motherboard wire for wire and tested the system multiple times to ensure proper operation. The system is operating properly at this time. Goodman furnace model #GMES800804BN, serial #2109214616. No charge warranty repair.

Came out today to inspect a no heat call for a Goodman furnace that was installed on 10/21. Goodman furnace serial #2109214616 model #GMES800804BN. Upon arrival the system was calling for heat but the furnace was not operating. I removed the access panels and the system started. I let the system run for a bit then I ended the call for heat once the system was settled I called for heat again and it failed again. I removed all low voltage wires from the board and called for heat by jumping out the board terminals. I did this several times to ensure that there are no issues with the board. Once I proved it wasn’t the board I moved to the thermostat. I replaced the thermostat covered under warranty and installed a new t4 thermostat. I tested the system multiple times and each time it runs with no issues. The system is operating properly at this time.

Performed a first floor dryer vent cleaning. Dryer vent, duct,flex duct and lint trap are all clear of lint and debris at this time. Currently the dryer is not producing heat but customer is aware. Otherwise the dryer is functioning properly at this time and exhaust flow is optimal. Recommend dryer vent cleaning every 1-2 years. Thank you for your business!

Came out today to investigate a bearing type noise on the first floor furnace. Trane furnace model #tdy060r9v3w5, serial #5372juu7g. Upon arrival the homeowner stated that he can hear a grinding noise to him it sounds like bearings. At the thermostat I called for fan only so I could inspect the air delivery system. I had the system running and everything sounded normal. I set the thermostat for heat and observed the system. Almost immediately I could hear a noise coming from the exhaust removal system. I took an amp draw and received a reading of .89 and the system is rated for 1.0 amps. I presented the homeowner with several options to get the system operating properly. The homeowner would like a quote for replacement. I connected chuds comfort advisor and notified him that the homeowner is available on 3/9/23 from 10am-12pm.

The air filter was recently replaced by the homeowner size 16x25x1. Checked all electrical connections to ensure that they are secure and in good condition. Cleaned out the trap. I powered the system back up and called for AC. The condenser coil’s are clean and in good condition. The condenser amp draws are 6.8 for the compressor and .88 for the fan. The system has a 19° temperature split. The blower motor amp draw is 4.7. The system is operating properly at this time. No charge FWI.

Survey to investigate “skunk” smell and educate homeowner on screens for outdoor intake/exhaust piping. The intake/exhaust is a sealed burner compartment and the intake air from outside is not circulated within the home. It is possible that the smell is coming from outside and getting into the crawlspace where the return and supply trunk runs. This unit also has a sealed blower compartment. Left recommendation for whole house air purifier that will kill airborne bacteria and viruses, remove household odors associated with pets, cooking, and smoke. It will also help allergy sufferers. Trane furnace M#S9X2B080U4PSBA, S#22025LY2KG. Filter size and recommended brand is Filtrete Model 2200, 16x25x1.

Came out today to assess no heat call on a Luxaire furnace. Upon arrival I checked thermostat to ensure the system has a call for heat. Upon further diagnostics, I found that the system is trying to light, but the hot surface igniter is not functional. After 3 attempts to light, system locks out. I replaced hot surface igniter with universal igniter from my truck. I cycled the system multiple times to ensure the system operated properly. System is working properly at this time. Came out today to inspect a Lennox system model #G6OUH-36B-090-07, serial #5908J24321 that was leaking heat at the evaporator access panel. There had been multiple visits for this issue. Upon arrival I found that the old sealant that was used is falling off. I removed the remaining sealant and siliconed the gaps. I powered the system back up and checked for air leaks. No charge for today’s visit. All future visits will be chargeable.
